My Practical Tips for Families
Locronan is completely pedestrian, which greatly facilitates visiting with children:
- The comfortable shoes are strongly advised. Although the land is flat in the village, the old cobblestones are irregular.
- If you have a young child, focus on Baby carrier. The stroller is usable in the main streets, but the historic pavements can be very uncomfortable for baby sleep and difficult to maneuver on narrow sidewalks.

Do not leave without your digital memory! The perfect spot for a successful photo is undoubtedly the centre of the main square with the church in the background. The reflections of the stone after a small Breton wave also offer a magical light, typical of the village atmosphere.
What I like:
One day in Locronan, it's a break in time. Here, time seems to have stopped to let us observe this granite village. No city in Brittany allows us better, in my opinion, to imagine life before. One might think that one of these houses will take out a villager from ancient times in traditional costume, going to sell the fruit of her labor at the market. Now, every year, Locronan lights up for the end-of-year celebrations in order to shine in the eyes of young and old millions of stars filled with beautiful memories, with in the background a smell of cinnamon and hot chocolate.
