Prepare your visit: history and landscapes
Located in the far west, in the heart of the Armoric Regional Natural Park, the Crozon Island draws a monumental cross in the Atlantic Ocean. Its landscapes are of a rare diversity: you will find cliffs among the highest in Europe, sandy beaches nestled in secret coves and flowered moors as far as you can see.
It is a high place of geology where the earth seems to have been carved by the force of the elements. Whether you're exploring the marine caves or walking the ridge paths, Crozon offers a permanent natural spectacle between the Brest Rade in the north and the Douarnenez Bay in the south.

The peninsula is a land of mysteries, marked by legends of King Gradlon and engulfed cities.
The mystery of Virgin Island:
Often compared to a Mediterranean beach for its crystal clear waters, the Pointe de l'Île Vierge (or Pointe de Saint-Hernot) is a true visual legend. However, to preserve this fragile and dangerous site, access to the beach is now prohibited, but the panorama from the trail remains one of the most beautiful pictures of the Breton coast.
Mandatory must-haves:
• The Point of Pen-Hir : With its famous rocks called "Les Tas de Pois", it is a grand site where one feels very small face to face with immensity.
• Cap de la Goat: A wild area covered with heathers offering stunning views of the island of Sein in clear weather.
• Camaret-sur-Mer: Its port, its Vauban tower (classified at UNESCO) and its menhir alignments (Lagatjar).
My Practical Tips for Families
The Crozon peninsula is a huge playground, but it requires a little vigilance with the younger ones.
- The hiking shoes are essential if you borrow the GR34. The trails are sometimes steep and stony.
- For hikes on the peaks (Pen-Hir, Cap de la Gour), the Baby carrier is the only viable option. The stroller is to be reserved to city centers as Morgat or Camaret, or for a walk on the docks of the harbour. Think about the sunscreen and the windbreaker, because the weather changes quickly on the peninsula!
- Activities: For a fun break, the beaches of Morgat are ideal for children because they are sheltered from great currents.

Photo gallery: the views not to be missed
The photo spot par excellence is located at the Point of Pen-Hir at sunset, to capture the silhouette of Tas de Pois cutting across the blazed horizon. Morgat's sea caves, accessible by kayak, also offer unforgettable turquoise light games.
What I like:
Every time I go to Crozon, it's like I'm on vacation. A summer break in spring or winter. Thanks to its unique atmosphere, it is a Sunday break away from Brest. A charming seaside resort, it will bring you resources and soothing. In addition, it is possible to visit marine caves from Morgat, which allows you to feel connected with nature. Famous for its beaches, Crozon, are the Breton Seychelles with their turquoise waters in the hollow of a secret cove. A wild panorama that reminds us of how precious our coast is.
